I’m Jorge, a product designer in Chicago. I’ve most recently been designing and building AI products end to end: Cull, a photo culling assistant that shows photographers how it interpreted their taste before it runs, then lets them correct it; an autonomous trading agent running in paper trading; and this site, designed in Figma and built with Claude. Designing for AI, not just with it, is the work I’m most interested in right now.

I’m a second gen Mexican-American born and raised on the south side of Chicago. As a kid, I was drawn to electronics, cameras, video games and infatuated with the latest advances in consumer technology. Throughout middle school and junior high, you’d never find me without my Nintendo DS or iPod Touch.

I grew up playing baseball, basketball and soccer. Playing sports taught me the value of teamwork and pulling in the same direction, traits that are now at the forefront of my product design career.

I’ve worked across several cross-functional squads, led design on a $22M account, and shipped features to hundreds of thousands of users throughout my 5+ years of professional experience. I care about the craft and I care about the people I build it with, but what really pulls me in is the ambiguous problem nobody’s cracked yet.
